Mixed Gems trees in this size may include (and usually do) Amethyst, Carnelian, Citrine, Clear Quartz, Green Quartz, Rose Quartz, Blue Quartz, Dyed Blue Agate, Red Jasper & Sodalite gemstones. This means the tree you receive will truly be yours and unlike anyone else's. The amethyst bases can vary in overall size, shape, color, crystal shapes and points. We encourage you to look at the different gemstone tree photos in this size to see how bases and tree shapes differ from each other. We don't photograph each and every tree we sell in this size, only our trees that are 20" tall and larger are specifically photographed. Each individual tree we sell and ship out is unique due to the natural differences of each amethyst base and handmade tree design.
The images are of actual trees we had in stock at one time and were selected to serve as the models for each gemstone type to showcase differences in bases and overall tree designs so customers could see how the trees' overall looks can vary. Finally, the wire branches with gemstones are attached to the trunk one by one, which completes another beautiful handmade gemstone tree, Made in Brazil! The trunk of the tree is built with strong wires and masterfully shaped with a type of putty and then painted to mimic the look of a real tree and attached to the base. Each tree size has an exact number of branches with the exact number of gemstones so they balance to give the correct look to the tree according to its size. A variety of polished natural tumbled gemstones are then selected (Pink Agate are dyed gemstones) and glued onto the wire branches. The Amethyst base is then shaped to be flat on the bottom and nicely formed all around. This selection is important so it can create the effect that the trunk is coming out of the crystal. The first step is the selection of natural Brazilian Amethyst clusters that will be the bases for each tree. Local artisans in Brazil make each tree by hand, gemstone by gemstone, in a process that is a true example of a handmade product.
